Just got this Giller set from Raineman. Has an assortment of 6pt, 12pt and the standard three 8pt sockets. By the time I stock it with the flex handle, ratchet, 6" and 2" extensions I doubt a spinner handle would fit. I know many Thorsen 1/4 drive sets (specifically the 1416) in late 50s through...

Somebody should open up a crossbar supply depot...I've got so many sets just needing a crossbar to finish the collection.

What size extension is the 3115? Is the crossbar a 3"?

Got my wartime set today! That dark finish is sweet! Surmising it's the same composition as listed in the 1954 catalog? And now the search for add-on pieces in that black finish...

Ha ha, new guy at the Thorsen factory assembly line. One day they ran out of red boxes and that guy needed to finish one more set to qualify for the "most boxes finished in a day prize". He walks over to the Action assembly line and snags a blue box...the rest is history!

Take a look at my completed set a few posts up from here. Lemme know which sockets you are missing as I probably have multiples and can help you get that box back to its original shape. I don't have an extra adapter but do on the sockets. I'll photo copy the insert that Don sent me onto hard...

Don- do you think that not-red box is an Action? Gonna look in my shop later, believe I've got an action box that same color and set up the same as my Thorsen RBS...

ITCL has a 1975 catalog. It's different labeling and motto. But again only lists a 1411 and 1416 sets. Reviewing the 1960 catalog, again only 1411 and 1416. I looked back at my previous collection data (lost quite a few sets due to Hurricane Helene flood) and don't see anything stating a 1414...

Did it have sockets in it? I can't imagine a use for this heavy of metal type box except sockets and such but that glass in the top combined with sockets, yeesh. Thinking there must have been a pilfer proof plastic insert for it...wonders of wonders for sure. I didn't Google Lens it so I'll go...

Anybody ever seen a 1/4 drive socket box like this one? It came with 1/4 drive Thorsen sockets, ratchet, extension but I've never seen a box like this. Its got actual glass in the upper top. Its slightly larger than a 1955 Thorsen No. 1416S box. Its a blue crinkle like a Kraeuter box. Just curious.

Five months later and one of my two 1438 RBS sets is complete! I went with this spinner due to my other one's handles being too fat and not allowing the box lid to close. Thanks to Don (d42jeep) for that label hook up!

I saw that one on Ebay but the pics didn't show the maker brand...Ebay is full of folks selling NB as Husky and NB as Duro. But yes, it matches with only a slight variation at the handle

I have a 3/8 drive speed brace. Only marking is "C-40 made in the U.S.A." Is it and Penens, a Snap-On made Craftsman or some other manufacturer?

Is there a specific Bon-e-con catalog? Looked through the Bonney on ITCL and didn't see anything. I got this box recently and trying to ID it and any of the apparent 3/8 drive sockets etc... and yeah, its got one of those hasps like the Snap-on and Thorsen boxes.

Found my first Ray socket yesterday. I know I have a couple more tools marked Ray (just gotta find them). Didn't know to search Packer Auto so thanks to y'all again!

Found my 2781 yesterday, $3 from one of my favorite vendors.
