    What is your go-to ratchet?

    My regular 3/8" drive ratchet is a Thorsen I got in '72 or '73. My regular 1/2" drive ratchet is a Craftsman that is a warranty replacement and is now around 10 years old.

    I just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. I buffed the paint and had to put ball bearings in the casters. I know nothing about it except it was made in 1975 (date is stamped) and it is very heavy!

    Here's a before and after. I got it from Craigslist for $20 and the vice for $5. I couldn't have bought the lumber for that price. All it took was some filler, sanding, paint, and satin polyurethane.
