    Remove Walker Turner chuck

Here’s another picture. If I get this thing off, I need to figure out how to clean it and get it working better. I’m sure there are plenty of threads on how to do that.

    Remove Walker Turner chuck

Good morning, I don’t mean to hijack this post, I’m in the same situation trying to remove the chuck from a Walker Turner 900 drill press. Joe Flinn, I hope you got yours off and don’t mind me jumping into this thread. I see Beerhippies recommendation above, does that mean that the chuck is...

Mr. Heater Big Maxx heater not working

Wait, I’m reading this again and seeing it more clearly. I guess I was getting sidetracked with my kids opening presents this morning, haha. Okay so I’ll get a jumper piece to connect the red and white on the board on the heater like you stated. Thanks

Mr. Heater Big Maxx heater not working

Thanks for your reply larry4406. When you say bypass the thermostat, do I unhook the wires from the thermostat and just leave those hanging and hook up the ones on the board on the heater? I’m a little confused, lol. Thanks

Mr. Heater Big Maxx heater not working

Hi all, happy holidays. I’m hoping someone can guide me. I have a Mr. Heater Big Maxx F260560 unit heater that is not igniting. It was installed in my shop almost 4 years ago and this year I finally got a propane tank installed and finished hooking everything up last week. I finally decided to...

Need advice on heater for small shop

Thank you all for your help. I've decided to go with the propane since I already have the heater installed. In the spring, I'll trench and run a line underground so I can get the tank closer to the street for the propane company. I called a few more companies and they all said my tank would be...

Need advice on heater for small shop

Thank you PoorUB, I would only need to run probably 25' to get the tank where it's not really seen from the street. I just called a local plumbing supply and he said he would recommend the poly instead of copper, is that what you're thinking as well? It seems like Poly is the common one now. I...

Need advice on heater for small shop

If I go the propane route, I would move the tank up closer and run a line underground. My neighbor thinks that's the way to go. He is concerned that the mini split isn't designed for my application as I would keep it off when I'm not working out there, which is most of the time. Since I would...

Need advice on heater for small shop

I wanted to provide an update, thank you all again for all of your guidance. I measured the tank location and I came up with 152' from the street. I called the propane company to see if there are any options to fill it but I decided Friday night after working in the shop for a couple of hours...

Need advice on heater for small shop

Lol, I know right. I live in the Philly suburbs and told my wife, how the hell can't they fill this thing, it's not like I'm in the middle of nowhere. I think my lot is only 150' deep so I'm confused as to how the tank is 154' when it's 15-20' back from the property line. I'm going to get out...

Need advice on heater for small shop

Thank you ToolsRCool for your thorough response, I appreciate it. I'm going to finish insulating the roof, everything else is already done. Maybe I'll call Mr. Cool tomorrow to see if they can help me size how many BTUs I need with the cathedral ceiling. My propane heater has to be vented...

Need advice on heater for small shop

Wow, your shop is 8 times bigger than mine, lol. That's great to hear yours is working so well. I have a high cathedral ceiling, I wonder if that's an issue with the mini split, I'll have to look into that.

tncatadjuster, is yours on a 20 amp breaker do you know? I'm just nervous about the power draw since I only have 60 amp service. What brand do you have? Thanks

Need advice on heater for small shop

Hi everyone, thank you again for your replies, I got busy at work the last couple of days. I've taken two steps forward, and now it looks like I'm going back one step. I've decided to move forward with the propane unit heater. I dont think I mentioned it before, but my neighbor installed my...

Need advice on heater for small shop

I just thought of another question. For a mini split, do I need to leave it on when I'm not using the shop or can it warm up or cool down a shop within an hour or two if I turn it on before I want to work? I'd hate to leave it on when I'm not out there but I'm not sure if it takes a while to get...

Need advice on heater for small shop

Thanks everyone, maybe the mini split is the way to go if I can get by on a 20 amp circuit. I'm familiar with Mr. Cool but I didn't know about Pioneer until recently. Does anyone know if they're similar quality? Do I need hyper heat? The Mr. Cool I'm liking at on costco.com says it's good down...
