    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

I don't mind the pin detent. I'm just a diy'er. I usually just turn the socket so the pin doesn't line up if I'm doing auto work and changing sockets a bunch. If I'm driving a bunch of lag bolts I lock the pin in and I find it handy in that application. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

I've been trying to purchase the M18 1/2" impact driver kit, model #2860-21 from Home Depot for over a week. It's on sale for $219. They have been out of stock. Just received a message saying the kit has been discontinued and they will not get it in. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage...

    Milwaukee Socket Set Impressions

I heard the square end is supposed to allow for turning with and open end wrench. I can't really think of a situation in which I would need to do this. Does anyone else see a use for this? Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

1/2 "Dr beaker bar with 3/8 adapter

If you're going to get a 19mm socket why not get a set? The HF Pittsburgh Cr-V sockets can be had for about $18 and the Pittsburgh Pro CrMo for about $25. I have some of both and they all work well... and both are probably safer than the adapter option. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage...

    Milwaukee Socket Set Impressions

Interested to hear about some real world usage. At first I didn't like the idea of the square end but I think it was just because it didn't look traditional. The more I think about it, I actually think it would be useful to keep them from rolling around. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage...

    The Fear of Ball Hex

I've never had any worse issues with ball end hex keys as regular. The only advantage of plain for me is when I occasionally have to cut one down to fit... but I guess I could cut the ball end off too so it probably doesn't make much difference. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal...

Witte Maxxpro vs Maxxpro Plus Screwdrivers

What is terrible about them? Just the fact that they don't clean up? Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Witte Maxxpro vs Maxxpro Plus Screwdrivers

I'm not a pro... just a DIY'er. I will use them for DIY automotive and when working on tractors and farm equipment so they will be exposed to grease and oil. I have Klein's for electrical work so I don't really care if they get dirty. They'll be replacing my old Craftsman from the 80's that...
