In NYC I used them often when working on British mixing consoles, Swiss tape recorders and German microphones. Used one last week to open up a Danish isolation transformer.
The Felo is well made and has very low backdrag. It does weigh 823 grams, with the center of gravity being where the handle meets the metal portion, so it's not going to be something I use all the time. The tool's ability to bend the head 45 or 90 degrees will probably make it ideal for certain...
Not impressed by the response from Makita USA.
Decided to return the tool to Amazon. They will have another one delivered in two days, and I have a month to take this one back to a local Kohl's. I won't even need to provide a box or label.
I see the 40 volt impact driver in that last picture, as yet unreleased outside of Japan (I think). The person who uploaded the video I embedded earlier has one of those too.

Bought a Makita XDT16 impact driver from Amazon this week. Parts of the case are misaligned. I've heard that the tools sold in Japan are manufactured there and not in China like this one, so I might buy from Amazon Japan if/when I need something else.
I just compared PB and Vessel drivers on the case screws of a vintage Japanese ammeter I got off eBay recently. Three of the screw heads were in very good condition, and both drivers did an excellent job. One screw was slightly stripped, and the PB started to cam out when the screw started to...

Second time I've heard that cheer this week. :bounce:

Engineer's new magnet design fits on screwdriver shafts between 4 and 6.35mm. I'll probably add a couple to an Amazon Japan order after they are released on June 25th.

I've got a drawer full of (mostly) Japanese springy pliers. :)
A little while ago I bought a couple of 3/8" accessories from Frank's to use with my Koken Zeal 3286Z set.
