    Cam, The jaws for this vise are channel shaped, so on the vise, there is three surfaces that need cut on both the static and dynamic. The top and face are cut with an end mill and the bottom is cut with a t-slot cutter. So then the slide is set up parallel and perpendicular to the machine...

    Measured up the vise and sent them to the jaw maker and the decision to true up the faces was made. After chasing my tail for a few hours, finally got it set up and started cutting. Royce

    Well then, cut the press down to 1/2" My bride likes her's thinner and wet done, so she formed a 1/4"x6" patty and I went for the 1/2"x 4-1/2". Cooked 4 min per side, with pepper jack cheese Garnished with mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion, on an onion roll. Not bad, if I don't say so myself. Royce

    Nautical fabrication

    Been out a couple times, also did some capsize drills and happy that the flotation is adequate and was able to self rescue. Anyhow carved a rowing seat out of ethafoam, it sets good. Also made a couple mast supports for trailering, I'll trim the foam when the glues sets up. Royce
