    60" ceiling fan

This was from the Q&A section - Yes/No! You will need to buy a dimmer switch that is rated at 600W or 5A and it will control up to 3 fans only, 600W dimmers are as big as you can buy. More than 3 fans will require additional switches, unless you wire them to a standard light switch that is...

    Wider or deeper ?

So my shop is 32x28 and would say go wider. 28 deep lets me pull the motor out of my F-350 crew cab long box and still walk around. As you can tell, lots of room on the man door side of the shop. For reference, the left door is 8x8 and the main door with the wifes rig in is a 10x8. The new shop...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Lone Beech Garage (60x46x16)

Re: The Lone Beech Garage Build Thread (60x46) WOW! What a great, detailed journey/read! Terribly sorry about your builder, especially during the Holidays. Looks like the OSB is just getting saturated and weighing the walls too much. Maybe nail in some 2x6s from the tall wall diagonally to the...

    Drill press cart

Yes, why not? Put some locking casters on it though. I'd rather have both on a bench with no wheels on it myself. But...... it'll work.

Opinion : Build on a flat slab or on a stem wall ?

This is what I'm planning on doing. Seen this done quite a bit, except I'm planning on a 2' stem wall. That way, with 12' walls, I'll gain that 14' clearance for the lift, plus keep the water/snow out. Most of the ones I've seen are 2 blocks high (16"). I want it all together-no movement.

    How Close?

So, while I"m planning on the build of the new shop addition, I'm trying to figure out how close the 2 post lift needs to be to the front wall. I won't have anything infront (tool boxes) of the vehicle on the lift, so what would be ideal space needed. The shop is going to be 40x40 and I'd still...

    Bunker/Panic Room with radiant ceiling

I kinda figured that temp would stay steady in the slab to avoid growth/movement. When doing the post tensioning, I wonder if it would get in the way of the pex?? I thought about that too. This would be an option but on either side of the garage is rv storage. I figured the suburban is lighter...

    Bunker/Panic Room with radiant ceiling

Hello GJ people! After a ton of searching here and the web, I just can't seem to find an answer. Maybe it's just too broad of a question and I don't know what words to use in the search. I'm in the infancy stage of planning a 40x40 extention on my existing garage (32x28) and am wanting to put a...
