Im no pro at welding, but isn't this a structural problem here. Just looks like a bunch of hot welds/cold welds/hot welds, cold welds...I'd go over every damn weld if that were mine.

Thanks again guys, you are right I was thinking in the wrong direction. What Chris mentioned is the answer. Thanks for those links DC! 1. Add rafter ties. 2. Add Gables at the front and rear of the garage. 3. Add Styrofoam baffles. 4. Then insulate with the free stuff :)

Best pic I have right now. There is no venting to outside. Do I just insulate the top opening of the block walls. and but the Styrofoam raftrvents to keep the insulation from being directly on the ceiling?

Thanks for the reply Chris! However there are no rafter spaces. My plan was to use the styrofoam rafteRvents to balance air in the hollows of the cement blocks to the ceiling. Does that seem right or will i have to build some kind of venting ?

Im pretty sure the Fireblock foam is actually rated to a higher temp or they would have some kind of lawsuit on their hands for the claims. But I don't see it a problem spraying around the outside of the boxes not in...could always just turn the electricity off have the foam sprayed then turn...

Some slow progress, Raft R Vents are up, wires ran and lights connected in the mudroom. Ended up using a 3-way occupancy switch/dimmer inside the mudroom to turn on when the door opens, as this is the main entrance we use.

Got it Anthony thanks, I thought it was steam pressure escaping not the air in the radiators. Thanks fellers, I found how to calculate sq ft for the radiators so ill do that math.

Well the pressure does vent, it has too. Every radiator has a small exhaust vent attached. That's what I mean, there is only a feed on the system. There is no return.

No Hartford loop on the system, Its a single riser on top. :headscrat Water simply boils makes its way to the radiators and vents out of the radiators. There is no return on the system. The system has a low water cutoff and autofill valve connected.
