yep, the local Sears in my town closed two years ago. Other stores are slowly following suit. It's just a shame we've had to watch Craftsman die a slow painful death along with it.

I made my first tool truck purchase while attending auto tech school circa 2007; Snap-On impact wrench (MG725), 3/8" dr. semideep metric socket set (212FSMSY), Snap-On dual-80 ratchet (FX80), and a 1/2" dr. click-type torque wrench (QD3R150). With the student discount, it was money very well spent.

The pictures were taken shortly after I bought the box. I'll try to take new ones soon. It's really quite full now. ^^^ this.

I just received a set of Ko-ken Zeal 3/8" dr. hex bit sockets and I'm considering placing an order for the 3/8" dr. torx bit socket set as well. I'd love to see the independent test results if they were ever published!
