The guy at Menard's (Home improvement store) said there isent really a need for a tank seeing I have one 150' loop. Just keep an eye on the air valve if I start leaking then I might want to think about a tank.

Is there really that much expansion?

I have a longer piece of pipe and at top I have a 75psi air valve that goes in place of the funnel. Never thought of a tank for expansion

Good thought laser3kw but the T-stat had not moved from day one. About two wks ago it started doing the short cycles when the shop is cold... Again once the shop is say 60 or warmer it will continue to run till up to set temp so If I crank it up to 80 it will stay running till that temp.

I know its ugly not going for looks Im going for function its not complete yet. The T-stat is for 120, 208 or 240 volt

I noticed today when my shop was cold it would cycle on and off short cycles. But once my shop started to warm up the furnace worked as it should.

Not to hijack your post but I have a Coleman also and Im having the same problem! Ill light the polite then turn up the thermostat and woosh the burner lights you can hear it warming up for a few and feel it is nice and hot then the fan turns on runs for a minute of so then the fan shuts off...
