A hydraulic swivel works great and is only a couple of dollars at any farm store like TSC or Rural King.

Looking for advice for restoring a grinder

I usually remove all the old paint, and always wear a dust mask when sanding/grinding. I find 3m green tape works best for me when taping off details like decals I'm trying to save or data plates. It is very flexible, adheres well and leaves crisp lines with no paint bleed. Plus you can find...

Looking for advice for restoring a grinder

I have had good luck using a wire cup brush in a die grinder to remove paint and minor rust scale. Being mindful of the speed and pressure and it will remove the old finish and rust without leaving any deep scratches. Make sure to cover and tape off and exposed motor windings. I them blow all...

I picked up this grinder today. Rebranded as a Wilton model #157, but I believe it's a Wissota. Couldn't turn up much info on this particular bench grinder. Any help as to identifying it's Wissota model number would be appreciated.

Any Tractor Supply supply store has them for $10 - $15 and a Hydraulic swivel coupler is a couple bucks. Temps from the tank outlet to the black pipe aren't high and won't affect the integrity of the...

Order of Components for Compressed Air in Garage

Here is how I did mine. Compressor Tank connected to 3/4" black pipe with hydraulic hose. 25' run of pipe to 3/4" filter/regulator to HF refrigerated dryer with bypass. Then run 3/4" pipe with 1/2" downturns wherever I wanted hose access. At each access point a 1/4" filter regulator fitted...

    Metal chop saw reccomendations?

+2 for the Evolution Rage 2. Though it is a Chicom tool I'm thoroughly satisfied with mine. It comes with a multipurpose blade for mild steel, aluminum, wood etc. There is a steel specific blade you can purchase for it. Super clean cuts and minimal heat transfer to the metal being cut. I...

    Old Air Compressor Help

I too have a LeRoi - Dresser 5000 with Wayne pump. Mine was manufactured in 1978. I have pdfs of the Operation/Maintenance manual with rebuild instructions and parts diagrams plus a wear limit table chart to measure tolerances. P.M. me if you'd like a copy.
