Note that MIG .025 solid wire and 75/25 argon/CO2 is considered a good solution for thin sheet metal welds; I've had good luck w/ .030 as well.

I have one of the Horror Freight 120V double cut shears; it didn't like cutting over the bumps in R panels, but it works pretty well on regular sheet metal.

Small inexpensive automatic 12V bilge pump would work well for this. If you're doing it manually, they have them that run on 120V that I used on several long extension cords to drain my shop foundation during an atmospheric river.....

You should be able to weld this w/ a brass or copper block/ heavy sheet held underneath the floor against the hole using a MIG or TIG welder turned down quite low. Eastwood makes a little magnetic gadget to help hold it in place; a piece of brass sheet and some strong magnets should work as well.

We'd put blocking on the walls, then attach a long 2x4 vertically for a handle and then rotate the truss on the walls, and brace it to the other trusses already fastened once we were sure the ends were in the right spot..

Given how much stuff I do with our 4wd 12 hp Kubota B5100 running at 1500 rpm or less, an electric tractor is certainly practical from a power standpoint. Since weight is often a good thing (esp. low on the chassis), even a lead acid system could be practical.

Those trusses don't look that heavy.... if you can coerce/cajole/con someone to help, rotating them down one at a time and inching them along will work; we built my dad's barn that way w/ much taller gambrel roof trusses we made. If you have a pickup truck w/ a hitch and rack, a vertical box...
