    11th annual GJ Secret Santa!

So I went to the post office yesterday to ship my package out( it’s on it way) and the post office had a package for me. My SS definitely has me curious as what’s inside as it won’t exactly fit under my tree. So here is a picture of it beside it. :) Thanks SS! Sent from my iPhone using...

I’ve never tried one but at that price I’ve reserved a 3/8 from my local store. Hopefully pick it up next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Screw on valve stem adapters for tire inflation

These guys might have what your after. https://www.macpek.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Haltec.pdf I was thinking a hose from a CTIS system might work if you could get it longer. Those hoses would have a 180 deg bend to reach the valve stem on the outer dual tire. Sent from my iPhone...

    My Snap On story

I had a similar experience with SO customer service regarding a broken wrench of my Grandfathers. I sent an email advising them it was my Grandfathers and I asked if they would warranty the broken wrench for me. I had a new one in the mail by the end of the week. I ended up making him a nice...

Gray tools (Canada) - The forbidden fruit

I’ve always been really happy with Gray. I have a ton of their stuff in my box. My 3/4 drive set is all Gray as well as my metric 1/2 sockets and wrenches. I’ll take some pictures this week when I’m at work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Interesting Mac ratchet set

I like the look of the handles, overall they look like compact ratchets. I’ve never been a collector, if I was in your shoes I would likely use them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Hope someone can help me make a decision. I already have multiple M12 tools and I’m super happy with them all. I work casually with a carpenter building decks, installing flooring and trim. I would like to invest in a multi tool and am looking at the 2426. I’m concerned that it isn’t...

    Miter saw

I’ve got a Mastercraft sliding miter saw that works great. If the planks aren’t that wide you might get by without a sliding saw but I usually find that it is needed. I was using a Dewalt 12” today, nice saw but my Mastercraft does the same job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Crimping spade connectors and flag spade connector

I apologize, I had never seen these types of connectors before. I see now that they don’t have a end to crimp like a normal spade terminal. Learn something new everyday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Crimping spade connectors and flag spade connector

I use this crimper 90% of the time. Bought it 20+ years ago. I’ve used it on those type of connectors before and never experienced a loose crimp. http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/crimpingcutting-tools/crimping-and-cutting-tool-connectors If you use the stripper/crimper combo pliers you...

I want to go metric - anyone other Americans done this

As a Canadian I grew up with the metric system. It was the only thing taught in school. It’s an easy system I guess but please don’t quiz me on it. Almost everything I do in my daily job and at home is in the US system. I have never attempted to build a deck, erect a wall, drill a hole or...

Help New Student Buy Discounted Snap On Tools with inheritence money

You can download snap on catalog on iTunes and likely the play store. My opinion is look at the set building pages and see what closely matches your requirements from the school. The US apprentice set lists for around $3000, if available for discount you would pay half. I don’t think it...

    When/Why To Use Socket Adapters? 3/8 to 1/4, 1/2 to 3/8, etc

I mainly use them when I need to access a fastener with a long extension. I have a long 3/8 extension and sometimes need to drive a torx or hex that I only have in 1/4 drive, etc. Sometimes I use one because of convenience but never reduce down in high torque applications. I would never put...
