    A shortage of springs now

So I get to our condo in the city and the garage door won’t open, this will become a problem with the extreme cold heading our way. Quick check of the opener all good….ah ****, the door assist spring is broken. Make some calls around the city next day, 3 places deal with doors and all 3 said 4...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT My collection of garages….

I first joined here 2006 (holy ****, that long ago) as I had decided it was time to add onto my existing 22x24. I tried to buy my neighbour’s property with a garage on it but at that time we did not agree on a price so I thought I will add on to my existing. I have always fully intended to...

Strictly tool boxes & Canada address

I have been kicking tires on and off all winter on a better tool box for my work place....aircraft maintenance. Have a real hard time choking down a Snap On price, but my NAPA top and bottom box are just frustrating me. You get what you pay for. Having stated this and doing lots of comparing...

Explain the physics of 2 post lift plz

I initially wanted a 4 post lift, stable, easy to use, fairly straight forward with some cautions right. Well space in the new little garage will make it tight for a 4 poster, so okay maybe a 2 post lift. But the physics just looks unbalanced to me, yes i know they work and there are plenty out...

Any experience with this 2 post lift.....

I have done a search and didn't find anything. There is a 9000lb 2 post clear floor vehical hoist asking 3000 or obo 220volt single phase power, made by Ammco. Good deal ? I would hope to get it for less than 3000, since i see new ones advertised in Canada for around 2500ish

    Can a 14X20 be useful

I don't post much here but i do plenty of lurking and reading but now it's time...... Town bylaw states 807 sq feet max for a garage. I have a 22 W X 24 L, 8 ft ceiling (528 sq ft) and I can make it work but I would like some expansion. I can add a 12 foot section out the back.....for a 22 x 12...

Where to find such a door....

I am looking to replace my current garage door with a wider one. Currently i have 1, 7 wide foot solid door.....not a roll up sectional. Mine is the type of door that kicks out at the bottom and rolls up to the ceiling on a track. I want a wider door and i want that style. It gives me better...
