    Chicago Pneumatic CP7150 Air Hammer

I'm needing a new air hammer, and this seems to be a good choice for me, but I would like to get your opinion. I am a tech, it wont see daily use, but it will have to hit hard when I need it. I noticed there doesn't seem to be a regulator on this model...How well does the trigger work? Can you...

Are the newer Gearwrench (Chinese) flex head ratcheting Wrenches ****, or is it me?

Do all the flex heads get "floppy" with little use? I have had this issue with my 7/16", and now my 14mm. I have only had these for about a month, and have not used them much, or put much torque on them.

am I missing out? (grip style open end wrenches)

I think this topic was discussed before, but I cant find it. It seems everyone now is making wrenches with serrations in the open end. What are your thoughts? Any brand "grip" better? Some designs look like they would really "bite". If I ruin a fastener, its normally not a concern, I can easily...

Why are single wrenches so much?

Im sure this has been brought up before, but a search turned up nothing for me. My question is, why does it cost so much for an open stock (as an example Gearwrench) When you can buy a set for a few dollars more? Are they trying to get us to upgrade to a larger set? I realize they want to sell...

repair kit for NAPA NB57 ratchet?

My trusty old abused nb57 finally let the smoke out yesterday. Long story short, the napa tool rep was actually at our shop, but in a meeting with the boss. I was busy as hell, so I gave it to the parts person, and told her Id rather just get a kit, and rebuild it, as Carlyle does not offer the...

Does anyone have this one? http://www.amazon.com/Jumbo-Professional-Grade-Cast-Iron/dp/B00BJS7XDE/ref=sr_1_94?ie=UTF8&qid=1378066322&sr=8-94&keywords=prybar I cant afford to spend much on one right now. I have the three piece NAPA set, (that I really like) but it only goes up to 18". its not...

1/4" air ratchet.. whip, or swivel?

I just got a NAPA mini 1/4" air ratchet (#6-1019) and its great for some of the limited spaces on newer vehicles. Ive been thinking a swivel, or whip might even make it more versatile. Will a good quality swivel reduce airflow? Im not a big fan of whips on a heavier tool, like an impact, I find...

Who makes a good folding shelf for toolcarts?

I have a Blue-point 4 drawer cart, and lately, Im thinking a folding side shelf would be a great addition to it but I dont want to spend a ton of cash on this. I dont intend to store tools on it, or load it heavily, but mostly use it for carburetor rebuilds, and small things like that. What do...

    good 1/4" air ratchet?

I have a need for a good 1/4" air ratchet, but many are out of my price range right now. Are the HF ones any good? The reviews are a bit mixed. Anyone have any experience with the ones NAPA sells?

    Fixing an impact wrench

I have a Napa 1/2" drive magnesium impact wrench that I use daily, that is about six years old. After a couple of years, it started to want to run without the trigger pulled... It has gotten worse over time. Its always been oiled regulary. and not too abused. I totally disassembled it and...

I did some searching, and apologize if I missed something, im looking for a set of offset wrenches in metric that is affordable. I looked at the HF set, but I have mixed feelings about them based on personal experience with their regular made in India combo wrenches. should I be looking at...

miss on dodge 5.9l gas engine

A busy day today, and I was frustrated late this afternoon to diagnose a problem on a 98 Dodge truck with a 5.9 gas engine. The truck came in as a no-start. With a P0320..no signal from crank sensor.. But still showed RPM. The customer said it ran fine...untill it died. I replaced the cap...

    HF angle die grinders

I cant decide which one to get..this one>> or this one>> it will mostly be used for gasket surfaces, and some occasional light grinding or polishing. I like the idea of the front exhaust model, the second one, but cant find as much info on it as the more popular rear exhaust model.

    magnetic trays...do you use them?

How many of you use magnetic trays? Ive got several of them, and use them everyday. The big 4 magnet one i have is great for rebuilding carburetors. I also find them useful for soldering. You can pop a "helping hands" in a two magnet tray for an awesome soldering station. The solder wont stick...

    flat rate

this seems to be a topic of interest. It certainly is for me after 8 years hourly getting switched to flag time during the slow period. the shop I work at is very slow right now, (this time of year always is) its a small town and we rely heavily on our customers who farm and ranch. We have no...
