Red Wire nut with exacto type blade- what is it

I was cleaning the shop and found this in a box of my Dad's tools. I did try to google it to see if I could find out more about it (without success) . It is the exact same size, shape and color of older red wire nuts and has a short exacto type blade molded into it and a plastic sheath over it...

Need feedback on using Challenger short rise lift and short wheel base car

I purchased a used SRM 10 Challenger low rise lift in good condition. Last weekend I planned to use it for the first time to rotate the tires on my son's 2014 Subaru Outback wagon. We pulled it on to the lift, but the factory lift points on his car were outside of the platform of the lift. The...

Ok, The talent on this board is amazing. In less than an hour, I had multiple responses to my first, "what is it tool" which I learned was a wire cable cutting tool. I am continuing to organize my garage and I came across another tool that had either been in my Dad's or Granddad's tool box...

What was this tool used for?

I recently came across this tool in my garage. It belonged to my grandfather and I do recall ever seeing him use it. There are no markings or id numbers on it and the shaft in the center moves freely and has a "v" shape to it, like it might be for cutting or crimping something.

    Hello from Delaware Ohio

Greetings, I have enjoyed reading the comments on this site and finally wanted to take a minute to say hello. I recently retired and am beginning to finally get my garage organized. While I have a way to go, I at least have grouped my tools together and find that I am spending more time on my...
