Ok,

The talent on this board is amazing. In less than an hour, I had multiple responses to my first, "what is it tool" which I learned was a wire cable cutting tool.

I am continuing to organize my garage and I came across another tool that had either been in my Dad's or Granddad's tool box, that I have no clue on what it was designed to be used for.

The knob turns a straight, flat blade screw driver blade on the other end. The hole appears to be designed to fit a specific opening or fitting.

So, what do you think?

Probably a valve adjustment tool. old Ford? I think they sued nut and straight blade...

The knob adjusts and the "wrench" locks.

Outlawmws nailed the purpose, but I'm fairly certain it's for GM engines. I have one just like it for my '48 half ton pickup.
