    Rolling workbench and tool wall

I am not a fan of tool boxes, I like to be able to see my tools so I can make sure everything is put away and also for the simplicity of grabbing them quickly. I have my tools mounted on my wall right now, but I am going to build a rolling work bench with a wall in the back so I can roll all...

Help on value of some old mechanics cabinets

I went to a family friends dad's shop yesterday, as they are getting ready to get rid of the contents. The owner passed away a few years ago, and the items have just been sitting untouched. There are more things then would fit in my 30x40 shop. Here are a couple of pieces that I want to buy...

Inside vs outside temps and double bubble

My 40x50 is only heated when I am working in it. I went in tonight for a minute and the temp inside showed to be 36 degrees when it was 21 outside. Right now I only have double bubble insulation. Just curious if the double bubble is doing some good or if it would be that much warmer without...

I have done a lot of searching, to try to figure out which is the best and most affordable heat for my 30x40x11. I have found some that say electric is way to expensive and some that say the same about electric. I am in Arkansas, will be at the shop on weekends and maybe one or two evenings...

Starting my 30x40x12 with 20ft shed pole barn

Dirt pad was finished yesterday. I am starting a 30x40 with 12ft sidewalls, and a 20ft enclosed shed down the 40 ft sidewall. Restrictions where I am building say it has to be a single family dwelling, so I am putting in a living area in the 20x40 shed. Gober Construction in Oklahoma is...

Ideas for a 30x40 pole barn build

I am in the planning stages of a 30x40 pole barn and wanted to get your opinions of my ideas. I bought a half acre and the covenants say it has to have a single family dwelling. My thoughts were to do 16 ft sidewalls and have a loft apartment in half of the building to satisfy the covenants...
