    New motorcycle tool kit

As the name suggests, i'm making a new motorcycle kit, not too worried about the tools since i should have everything, but i am trying to make the whole kit fit inside of an old pocket tackle box that i picked up at a pawn shop a few years ago. (not actual picture, stole this off a website, but...

    Rhino Ramps?

Does anybody still trust these? I got a pair of 16,000 lb rhino ramps and used them twice on my own car, great for oil changes etc. My girlfriend drove her Taurus on-to it and it snapped one side, dropping the passenger side to the ground.

    Ace Pro = GW?

I know that the ACE ratcheting wrenches are gear wrench (and normally double stamped with ACE PRO and GW), But who makes the Non-Ratcheting? It looks very similar to GW, but is stamped CHROME VANADIUM which kind of seems to kill it for me. When i see that stamped i think cheap china. But it...

    Now-a-days Evercraft VS Carlyle

I'm sure that this has been beaten to death, ALOT, but i haven't seen anything recent regarding it, is it worth it to get Carlyle (NAPA Pro) wrenches over Evercraft (Napa House brand)? My understanding is that you get the same warranty, and the new Evercraft wrenches are pretty damn pricey now...

    Gear Wrench K vs L

I've noticed that some of the gear wrenches i have have a K or an L stamped on them, does anybody know what this specifies? most of the ones that came together had K and the one i bought separately had an L stamped on it, any ideas? (All were new-un-opened, i thought of that as well)

    Husky usa

I found a SAE set of Husky USA sockets (I assume made in USA?) they are basically new, probably never really used as they were sitting in a box in the garage that usually has arts / crafts stuff, and has been taped shut for years, are they worth keeping around the house? compared to HF tools at...

    Tool Terminology

I've been having issues with the Instructor terminology prepping for this semester, really annoying because some things are what the tool does, others are names that are combines / made up etc. I'm really narrowing down the list though, and now trying to make a decision For the next couple...

    Snappy, Harbor freight, Someones missing?

I've been kind of curious, as i've read a ton of threads, i see HF and Snap-On mentioned almost religiously, is Snap-On representing everyone now? I like the rebranded CAT wrenches (Snap-On Blue Point whatever) but i was definitely more impressed with the Matco stuff at the time. Or is there a...

    Rigid Pipe Wrench.

A few years ago a member of my family passed away, to raise money his wife auctioned a few things off to other family members (it was a good time for us to all get together for a family reunion as well) and i ended up with an ol' Made in the USA RIDGED 18" Pipe wrench, at first i didn't know...

International VS Excel and a machinists rule T-slide

So i have to acquire a variety of tools for my school, I've previously trained and worked as a diesel tech for CAT heavy equipment so i have a basic knowledge and assortment of tools, though since i will be at a school facility my size will be very limited on tools and tool storage. My first...
