This little guy followed me home the other day.
I posted a "wanted" ad for help with literature.
Model VR-200
It also came with the stone refacer and wooden box that has the tools for doing valve seats. It will be great for my Model A engine projects.
Trying to complete a Craftsman C Series tool set.
I have the toolbox, 1/2" sockets, and one extension. Need a 1/2" ratchet, speeder, bar, t handle. Also would like to add a 3/8 socket set and wrenches from the same era.
I need 1" cones and a 11/16" spindle and cones for my Snap-on brake lathe. Made by Kwikway, model 102.
Pictured is a 1 7/8 spindle to show the mounting flange.
In need of the fixture pictured. Used to set up a model a ford block in a Tobin arp line bore machine. For size reference the round plugs are about 1.6" in dia, the bore is 1.125.
Did not know there was(is) a Wright Tool Co until I picked this speeder up today.
I'm not able to date it but it is consistent with the specimen on alloy artifacts site.
Model MN-15, 3/8" drive, plain steel.
It will fill the void in my Craftsman collection until I can find a C-Series speeder.
Posting for another car guy.
What is it?
Here is what he knows:
Found in old garage
Fixed wheels (do not steer)
Ramp on end lowers
Hole in opposite end
Guesses so far are: used to haul something or wheel dolly for old car.
Now some old timers will know right away. I found these in the bottom of a tool bin at an antique store. I was stumped when I first saw them. Have been a handy tool in the shop.
Whatdaya think?
This gem followed me home a while back. It will be an improvement over the Kwikway line bore machine. It was not complete and I have been working to find the missing ford jigs. Will be great when it is up and running.
Found this set up the swap meet, bought 2 for 15 bucks. Looks pretty rough here but it cleaned up well, will need new seals. Anyone used a blinks 2001 before?
Craftsman C Series Tools
Are there any Craftsman collectors out there? I located a set of 1/2" sockets with C- numbers on them. Probally early ones. Would like to locate the missing pieces but not sure where to start. They came in a black metal craftsman flip top tool box.
Thanks,
TMAG
Poured the slab and footing and erected a 14 x 14 Quonset style building, used recycled metal roofing for the inside walls, wood siding to match the house on the outside ends and then packed full of stuff.
Clock wise tour from the door in the first photo: Kwikway boring bar, Drill Press...
This jack followed me home a while back. I found a number of post but did not see any reference to this particular style of jack. A Ford V8 and Model A trans fits reasonably well in the saddle.
Any thoughts on this jack? Is there any historical info on Walker and the jacks they made?
Thanks!
