    things don't seem to be looking up for the masterforce brand

    i was just at menards... gearwrench taking up pegs in the masterforce section not just sockets either, ratchets, extensions, adapters, wrenches though the flex head 1/4" 84t (81012F) is $15... which isn't too bad a deal but seeing taiwan and china in a section with "made in usa" all over it...

    noticed in last sunday's menards ad the metal cutoff wheels were on sale but the made in usa image was nowhere to be found... looked at them while i was there wednesday and they all said china along with the grinding wheels

    so last week i was on a junk yard run looking for a seat and an axle shaft while trying to liberate a cotter pin from an axle shaft i bent my channellock needle nose a cotter pin that should have broken long before bending my pliers did this

    just curious if anyone else makes an equivalent to that low profile dual flex ratchet at HF i've never seen anything like it elsewhere and google is coming up empty

    options for disassembling sk ratchet with broken retaining ring

    i have an old 40970 ratchet which does not work... the mechanism is seized and the multiple days of soaking in atf is doing nothing the real problem though is the fact that both ends of the retaining ring are broken off... anyone know of a way to get this apart?

    so a little backstory first about 10ish years ago we had a garage fire (old wood garage+old wiring+mice... and of course the usual assortment of flammable things stored in the garage and add a set of magnesium wheels for that extra surprise for the fire dept) very little could be salvaged...
