    Powder coating over chrome

Tell me the best way to do it. Scuff and cost? Your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    Hot Shop Question.

Starting to really warm up here in Texas. My shop is 16x30 and has 4 windows. It’s a TuffShed. Double doors make it pretty open. Still hot, although the roof vent helps I’m sure. I just picked up a 24” fan from Northern. My question is which direction should I point it? I’ll put it at the...

    Plunge circular saws

Who else makes them besides Festool? I’m sure they’re great saws but way out of my league. Looking for the kind with the rail. Are the rails long enough for a full sheet of plywood lengthwise?

    Foam pad for cutting

Looking in big box websites for this and I have no idea what it’s called or what to search for. I want to break down some plywood and see guys cutting on some kind of foam (maybe?) piece they put under the sheet of wood. What the heck is that?

    Sanding disc adhesion

Picked up a used 12" Delta disc sander. It's aw some! I can't get the discs to stay on it. Is it because I'm using cheap discs from Harbor Freight? Not having any issues with the smaller versions. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    What the heck is this?

Can you identify this? Is it a tool, or a piece of a tool? Any help is appreciated.

    Air hose connector question

Not sure what they're called but I'm referring to the female ends of the hose that connect to tools. I've seen some in YouTube vids that are super easy to connect, virtually plug and play. All the people did was just insert their tool. What are these called and where can I get my hands on...

    Parts cleaner

I'd like to know what you guys are using for a parts cleaner. Mostly old auto/motorcycle parts with a lot of oil on them. I'm making some artsy stuff and for the life of me it seems like I'm killing myself trying to get parts clean and oil free. I've tried something from one of the big box...

    Desktop blasting cabinets

I was looking at Eastwood's model and researching. I would appear that Tractor Supply at one time sold this, and another I found was from a company named Redline. Has anyone used one of these and are they worth the extra $50 over the Harbor Freight type ones? The one from HF looks different...

    Questions about PC (powder coating)

Not political correctness. LOL I'm expecting my powder coating system from Eastwood to arrive this week. I tend to do little artsy stuff, not a lot of car/bike stuff that some of you pros do here. And let me add that I have no intention of this becoming a job. I had one of those and I...

    Kobalt Tools -- Worth it?

I've have a hodge podge of tools. Craftsman, Harbor Freight, Stanley, Kobalt, etc. I am considering a purchase of all matching sockets and wrenches and have of course started looking at Sears. But I started thinking that my Kobalt stuff has been pretty efficient and cost effective, and some...

    Welding in TuffShed

Several years back I purchased a TuffShed which I've used to store my bike(s), and tools. I'd like to make it a workshop of sorts by moving out the bike into my drive and closing it up to work in. I have a/c, but no heat. What I'd like to do is weld inside it. Unfortunately as you can...

    Removing tires from rims

I have several small tire/rim combos from a couple motorcycle trailer projects that I had in the past they are old and no longer functional, at least the tires aren't. I want to repurpose the rims as a hose/cable keeper either in my work shed or on a welding cart project. My question is how...
