I was looking at Eastwood's model and researching. I would appear that Tractor Supply at one time sold this, and another I found was from a company named Redline. Has anyone used one of these and are they worth the extra $50 over the Harbor Freight type ones? The one from HF looks different, but other than color, the three I mentions look like identical units.

The problem with the cheaper cabinets is the gun/nozzle that comes with them. They are pretty crude and inefficient. The nicest bench top unit I have seen/used was an econoline, not cheap at all. Ran across one at an auction once, someone else REALLY wanted it.

They have their place, but I consider the design to be bad. You can do all the updates that you want to make it flow better but the blasting angle forces the media at the window which causes pitting. If you have the room get a floor model, but if this is all you have room for then go for it.

What is a good nozzle to update the cheaper ones? I have the HF one and would love to upgrade the nozzle

Or would buying a sandblasting pressure pot and running it into a blasting cabinet for effective?

check out TP tools, you have to update your gun for starters. Pressure pot on that box would probably blow the door off. Ha. Do a search, plenty of info on this already.

Even if you get a bench top model your going to want wheels under it so you can roll it OUT of your shop and blast away

ALL cabinets without proper ventilation create a cloud of abrasive dust that settles all over expensive tooling and or automotive paint

I bought the Tractor Supply one about five years ago. Worse thing I found was being able to see what you're doing. The plastic window comes with stick on clear films
so you can replace them when you can't see through them anymore, but they don't last long.
