The teeth on the part that is actuated by the pull handle are worn and would need to be built back up and re cut it's at work and is to be scrapped unless I take it. Dose anyone have any info on it or know if there are parts still available

I have only seen pictures but I have ran across 5 matching challenger tool boards and the guy wants 60 bucks for all of them but they have no pegs is that something that you could just get round stock and use some kind of glue to replace the pegs or do they run all the way through the board

i bought out a guys stash of his grandfathers 40s and 50s diesel mechanics tools and some of them i have no idea of what they are used for so here i am asking you guys. first up remind me of large door stopper springs the kind i would mess with for hours at my grandparents house
