Does anyone have a Mac mcf901 that could help me?

I have a DeWalt DCF902 that I want to convert to 1/4". The same tool in 1/4" is available as the Mac MCF901. I ordered the 1/4" square anvil and installed it into the DCF902, but there is a lot of space between the anvil shaft and the tool body. If someone has an MCF901 and could check to see if...

Pro googlers: Need help finding more of these 1/4 hex to 1/4 square socket adapters

So I have this super short 1/4 hex to 1/4 square socket adapter. It's nice because it's a power shank instead of straight shank. I have no idea where it came from. Could've been part of a kit or part of a bit set. I don't know. There are no brand marks on it. I want to buy a bunch of them...

Anyone see this new Makita cordless ratchet that's coming out?

Makita RW01Z supposed to start shipping on the 10th of this month. The page for it states that it has 800 rpm! Compared to the Milwaukee fuel at 250. It has less torque than the Milwaukee, but you generally turn the ratchet to crack the bolt and run it off anyway, so I think speed would be...

A cheaper (and stronger) m12 fuel 1/4" stubby impact wrench.

I really wanted a m12 fuel 1/4" stubby impact wrench with the square anvil, but couldn't bring myself to pay the premium that it comes with. For some reason the square anvil is somehow much more expensive. I couldn't find the 2552 for less than $150 anywhere. Curious considering the 2553 hex is...

Engineers/Smart people: Impact IPM/RPM/Anvil mass relationship.

I'm trying to figure out a problem that I can't seem to wrap my head around. Milwaukee has two impacts that I am looking at: 2552-20 m12 1/4" square anvil impact wrench. 2553-20 m12 1/4" hex impact driver. These two impacts appear to use the exact same casing and motor, but have different...

Which one of these ratchet pawl designs is superior?

Looking at a couple of different ratchets to purchase and they each have a different pawl designs. Each one is 72 teeth. Thanks for any opinions and input.

Hex insert power bits vs sockets or...?

Pretty self explanatory. A set of hex sockets or just 1/4 hex bits in an adapter? Advantages either way? I see that it's also possible to buy the hex pieces and insert them into sockets yourself. Am i missing any other ways to drive hex screws? I've already got L keys, but need a set of...

Anyone use the new DeWalt 20v brushless angle grinder?

Seems to be quite unknown from what I can find online. I'm trying to decide between it and the M18 fuel angle grinder, but seems like nobody knows about it.

Anyone ever use a ratcheting wrench with reducer bushings like this Facom one?

Seems like a novel idea that might be good when putting together a nice small tool set for portability. What do you think? Gimmicky? I've got small socket sets, small screwdriver sets, and collection of small pliers. It makes it nice when I'm going to a friend's house to help with a car repair...

Anyone make long blade precision bits?

I can only find long individual precision drivers or short precision bits. Can't seem to find a really nice set of long bits in the 4mm hex configuration. I know wera has long precision screwdrivers, but I'm looking for long bits. Seems like if you use an extension on the precision bit drivers...

Can crows foot (feet) wrenches be used in lieu of standard double end?

Looking at putting together a compact tool bag and was thinking instead of having a whole set of standard wrenches, it'd be pretty compact to get a set of crows feet wrenches and some type of handle. It would be like having an interchangeable head wrench. Anyone else do this?

Anyone besides gearwrench make flex head spline ratcheting wrenches?

I don't know why these seem to be so rare. Can't find any other regular size spline flex head ratcheting wrenches that don't skip sizes besides the long EZ red/mountain ones. Does gearwrench have the Monopoly on these?

Brand New mountain ratcheting wrench mechanism seems loose. Normal? Video included.

Just got my mountain extra long ratcheting wrench set and a couple sizes seem like the spring just isn't very strong. If I push on the button to change direction while spinning it I get a solid click. But if I'm not putting any pressure on the switch, it's almost as if it doesn't keep enough...

Any other brands make sockets similar to grey pneumatic duo?

Just wondering if anyone knows of other brands that make impact rated sockets that are the size of chrome sockets like the grey pneumatic duo? Thanks

Budget individual socket sets? I.e. only 6 point metric set shallow 3/8 drive.

I don't want to buy the big blow mold sets of sockets anymore. I'm looking for individual sets of sockets in individual cases such as one for only 3/8 drive 6 point metric shallow or deep. Another for 1/4 6 point metric. Another for SAE 3/8 6 point.... And so on and so forth. Something like this...

What kind of lube for sticky air impact rotor blades?

Rotor blades in Ingersoll Rand impact are sticking. What kind of lube works best for these? I'm guessing some kind of "dry" lube? Graphite? Silicone? Thanks

Would it be OK to put my tool chest on 2x4s?

I just bought a Husky 52" 16 drawer chest that's going to be going in my basement (no garage.) Trouble is, the hood open makes it a little too tall to clear the boards above. I removed the hinge for the hood and took it off, and haven't assembled the chest yet as I just bought it last night...

Milwaukee m12 ratchet vs right angle impact?

I currently have a 3/8 Milwaukee m18 fuel impact that I love. I use it for just about everything where it will fit. However, there are some places that it won't fit or I have a bunch of fasteners to remove in an area and the m18 can get unwieldy. So I'm going to buy something a little smaller...

M18 impact making high pitched whine?

I just got a new M18 2754 3/8 impact and it's making a high pitched whine when I pull the trigger. It's ear piercing. Is this normal? I had an m12 impact that didn't do this. Is it the higher power of the tool? Does it go away? Thanks

Is 1/2 impact really that much better than 3/8 with adapter?

I'm buying a Milwaukee impact tomorrow. I have money on Amazon to buy one. However, only the 3/8 m18 is available on Amazon and not the 1/2. I don't intend on doing any heavy suspension work, but if the need ever arises, would I be screwed going with the 3/8 with 1/2 adapter over the 1/2? I know...
