I have a DeWalt DCF902 that I want to convert to 1/4". The same tool in 1/4" is available as the Mac MCF901. I ordered the 1/4" square anvil and installed it into the DCF902, but there is a lot of space between the anvil shaft and the tool body. If someone has an MCF901 and could check to see if there is some sort of spacer, I would appreciate it. When I called Mac to order the anvil, they stated that they couldn't find any kind of parts diagram for the MCF901, which is very strange that the company doesn't have a parts diagram. I cannot find a diagram online either, so I'm kinda stuck as to what I need. The MCF901 is no longer available so I can't even buy the complete tool. Really bummed because I have a 1/4" grey pneumatic socket set and I really wanted this to work. Thanks.

Hello I also am interested in finding a solution for installing a 1/4 inch anvil in a dewalt dcf902 as I have a sunex master 1/4 inch impact socket set that I'd love to have a dedicated 1/4 inch impact for. I have considered buying a 1/4 inch anvil from a stubby milwaukee and making that work utilizing bushings and what not.

I have a bunch of Mac tools and have wanted to do the same thing.

I searched through a bunch of part diagrams and eventually gave up. Interested if you make it work.

Check the 'Red Dewalt' thread on here, there a few people that have the DCF901.

The DCF901 is back in stock on Mac's website... I might just buy one of those to keep the color scheme matching hahaha....

I'm looking for the 1/4 anvil. Toolservicenet doesn't have it available. Anyone know another source?

II ended up emailing Mac customer service inquiring about the anvil as I also was unable to buy it through servicenet, and this what they told me:

"Thank you for contacting Mac Tools. Item N802062 is showing available and in stock.
To place an order directly with us please give us a call 1-800-MAC-TOOLS (622-8665) from 8:00AM to 6:00PM EST Monday thru Friday."

So I called and placed the order over the phone, it was $7.49 for the anvil and $5.49 for the nose cone assembly. I don't think they even charged me shipping.

Thanks for the info. Was the nose cone needed for the conversion? I'm going to be converting a DCF850.

You should not, the nose cone is if you were converting a DCF902 like OP was. For the 850 you will need some sort of sleeve bearing for the anvil, but unfortunately the sleeve bearing that comes with MCF901 nose cone does not fit in the 850 (OD is too big, so you could machine it down I suppose).
