    Why left hand threads on pruning shears?

    One blade has threads The other blade has a bigger hole. There is also a nut on the bolt.

    1969 Bridgeport mod to knee crank

    I drilled a #36 hole in the center of the knee crank shaft. I tapped a 6-32 thread. I found a 0.525" OD 0.25" ID washer with clearance for the 0.625" hole in the crank handle, but only when concentric. Gravity pulls the washer off center and retains the handle.
