Comfortable flex head ratcheting wrench set recommendations please

I’ve used Gear Wrench (non flex) ratcheting wrenches for many years. I’m tiring of the thin pointy edge and how uncomfortable they are when pulling hard. They work well, but I want more comfort to (hopefully) help with hand/wrist pain. Any suggestions on a comfortable set of metric ratcheting...

Is there a thread where we could list "good guy" or "scammer"?

We should have a forum or thread where we can, based on transactions with them, list users as "good to go", "scammer", or whatever in between. Similar to this on another forum I frequent: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/good-guy-list.89/page-402

Power nut driver bits - with hollow shaft

I’ve got these 2 Neiko sets of hex but drivers. I sometimes find myself wanting hollow shaft versions for nut on stud situations. Does anyone know of a set, preferably in metric, that is long (similar to the ones in the red holder) with a hollow shaft? Thanks.

Suspension knuckle bushing replacement tool request

Ok, I’m putting this in the tool discussion forum because I’m in the end asking for a tool suggestion. I recently purchased a 2015 Explorer AWD for my kids to drive. It’s got almost 200K miles on it so I had an expectation of some work needing to be done, which I found during my test drive...

Change my mind - Capri semi-deep impact socket set is the budget go-to

Forever I've thought "who ever uses semi-deep sockets". Until yesterday that is...... I was replacing front struts on a 2015 Exploder and had nothing that fit well above the body (mount), under the cowl, and over the long studs. An offset box end wrench initially leading to a standard socket...

    Push pin removal tool

Looking for a suggestion on what tool is best used on push pins that have no "access" slots or reveal. I've got a bunch of them on my GX460 and I've been using a razor blade to get into what little gap there is, pry up, and then get a thin panel removal tool under it to finish removing the...

    Identify these lights

Just wondering what lights Brian has mounted all over this engine. Can some ID them?

    Recommend me a screwdriver set

I’m looking for a recommendation on a new screwdriver set (flat blade and phillips). I’ve been using the common Craftsman screwdrivers for 20+years, exchanged some of them over that time, and now have a bunch of bent/worn tools remaining. I could go through the exchange process at Lowes or Ace...

    2 car garage lighting recommendations

Hi all, Looking for lighting suggestions for my garage. It’s your average 2 car attached, 24’ish x 24’ish, 10’ ceiling, 8’ x16’ door. The walls are currently insulated and sheet rocked, ceiling is open. The typical “cheapest option” 4 bulb sockets for overhead lighting. I’m planning to...

IR 2235QTI vs DCF961 purchase decision

I’m in the market for a higher torque impact. I’ve had a 2135QTiMAX for many years and it has served me well. There have been a few instances where more torque would have been better, and some upcoming suspension work on my truck has me longing for more. Decision, Decisions……. I’m narrowed...

    Glove recommendation needed

I have long despised wearing gloves while working on vehicles and other equipment. I like to get things done, not screw around with some girly gloves to make sure I don’t get some dirt under a nail. It seems all the youtubers and celebrities made gloves cool for every task that didn’t require...

    Icon G2 ratchets available

I got the email yesterday from Hobo Freight and clicked through. It seems the new ratchets are hitting stores as some show stock. Has anybody seen/handled them yet?

    Lower ball joint press ID

I'm about to embark on lower ball joint replacement for a 2013 F150 that has lived its life in MN. It's rusty and crusty. I'm looking for a tool that's up to the task without question. Not some POS that is just going to bend. Can anyone ID this tool? 4:55 in. Seems to do the job...

The Milwaukee 2567-20 high speed ratchet is so gutless it’s useless. Change my mind.

Every time I grab this tool I’m disappointed. I spend more time using it as a ratchet than it does removing the fastener under power. I’ve tried different batteries and none make a difference. Brand new XC 4.0, older CP 2.0, generally the same result (which is a stall). Are my expectations...

90deg. / offset adjustable "Ford" wrench

I've had some recent cases where I could have used an adjustable wrench that had the jaws turned 90deg as pictured. I was tightening compression nuts on plumbing supply valves that were close to the wall and didn't offer an alternate grip. I wound up using a kludge of standard adjustable...

SOLD: $40 - Grab bag of (QUALITY) wrenches, electrical tools, sliding 1/4" t-handles, 1/4" bits (Snapon, Armstrong, Apex, Knipex, etc)

All or nothing; What you see is what you get. Cleaning out the toolbox from previous jobs and tools that never get used. Most of this stuff is either new, or could pass for new. The Knipex tubing cutter is an awesome tool, but needs a blade; doesn't come with one. It got wet somehow and was...

SK 3670 Roto Ratchet - the new (and improved?) 3870

So the SK 3870 roto ratchet is probably my favorite ratchet of all time. I’ve got a few just to be safe. At one point I emailed SK Customer Service asking if they had any plans to update or offer updated roto ratchets or in other sizes. They replied that they were “working on an update”...

    Why aren't wrench handles round

Ok, ok, some are, but very few. Why aren't wrenches a more comfortable round profile on the handle? Most typical box ends have an offset, and it doesn't seem like a perfectly flat wrench is required 95% of the time for the open end. So why not make them more comfortable with a full round...

Hex power bits with necked down shaft - Why?

I’ve long wondered what the reason was for some manufacturers necking down the shaft of hex power bits. I find it very annoying for some reason, likely because I don’t know why it is done. There must be a reason as it’s costing them money in machining to make chips out of that material. Other...
