I got the email yesterday from Hobo Freight and clicked through. It seems the new ratchets are hitting stores as some show stock.

Has anybody seen/handled them yet?

I have. (it was pushed to page 2 of GJ)

They're in stock in the stores in my area, with the exception of the 3/8" 14".

I didn't realized another thread was already going. Thanks for the link, let's keep it in that one.

Nice ratchet. Well worth the money. Order it online and have it in a few days. It will be months until they will be in regular stock in the stores.

Do you tell the wife??? I don’t!
I don't tell her - she just "notices." There's been times when I didn't think she would notice when I got a new tool or a duplicate type of a different brand, and got the "don't you have one of those already" or "what does that tool do that the others don't?"

I sometimes feel I would like to be married again. When I read something like this, am glad I'm not.

My wife walks through my garage and says “ I don’t remember that tool box”. I say oh yes I’ve had that for years. She gives me the evil eye and leaves. It’s a good thing she doesn’t come into my garage very often, she would probably divorce me if she did.

One of the things on the mile long list of why my ex hated me, was buying tools.

My mother and sister both asked me a few weeks ago why I need so many tools and how I would ever use them all.

Anyway, decided to stop by a HF store on the way from work today that I would not normally go out of my way to visit but they showed G2 inventory online.

Not a surprise, actual in-store inventory was basically nothing. They must of had 50 of the flex 1/4" ratchets, but essentially nothing else. Guess it will have to wait.

The grip felt good though and they feel solid (heavy, well built). But won't know more until I buy and use them.

I had the long 1/4” in my hand ready to buy but I honestly couldn’t think of a single instance where I’d use it. The long 3/8” might be a future purchase though.

It would be better if the extra long 3/8” was a flex head.

I'm sorry, there is no way my wife would ever tell me I can't have another tool. In fact, she uses Snap-on.com to get me more.
