    oil for Dayton motor

    I have an old 1/2 hp dayton motor. It has 2 places on either side of the motor for the bearings. My question is , what type oil and how often should I fill. It came off of an old bandsaw and I want to make a bench grinder/buffer out of it. Thanks,cutt
