    Am I crazy to buy a new 5" Wilton C2 for $1300?

I've been looking for a good, used Wilton C2 for over five years now. I found one for $625 and bought it for my brother. Never saw another like it since. I finally have the chance through some discounts to bring the usual $1820 price tag down to $~1300.

How would you install this ceiling heater wiring?

I have 240V going from the electrical panel to the plug. I use this outlet for my compressor and welder. Now I'm installing this ceiling heater and I can't decide how I want to wire it. I would like to keep the wall as clean as possible, so surface mount PVC conduit isn't my preferred method...

Can someone help me find the capacitor for this motor? Or otherwise fix it?

This is my 6" jointer motor. It started to buzz when I turned it on until I spun the shaft, then it would spin right up. Now it just buzzes and won't spin at all. Research says it's likely the starter capacitor. The numbers on the capacitor are gone due to corrosion. The original manual...

Should I buy this drill press?

Hey, all. It's $150 and it's a three hour drive away. I know she doesn't have the double belt setup for drilling big metal, but what do you think about using it for home gamer shop use? I'm not doing anything much heavier than some automotive work in my shop. Honestly, I don't know much...

Chainsaw chain--Same specs as the old one...still binding and throwing the chain

Hey all, My new chainsaw chain is grabbing and skipping on the chainsaw sprocket, as if it has a different number of drive links than the old chain. It's the same specs: 16", 56 drive links, .050 gauge. The old chain is made by Oregon and the new one by Trilink. I'm under the impression that...

Would you trust Tekton torque wrenches for aircraft work?

I have a couple aircraft that I can do my own work on without an A&P license and will have more in my future. I have the 1/2" drive Tekton torque wrench for vehicle lug nuts and suspension components and it has worked okay. Now I'm looking for a 3/8" drive. There have been a few instances...

Long shot, but can anyone ID these pliers?

The small needle nose are my favorite set of pliers and I've never been able to find out who makes. This is my last shot. It appears that all of these pliers came in a set, or were at least from the same manufacturer. Does anyone know who made them? Trust me, I know there's not much to go...

    50/50/90 Rule for Ratcheting Wrenches

50/50/90 Rule: If you pick up a non-switching ratcheting wrench, you have a 50/50 shot that it's going to turn in the right direction when you put it on the fastener. 90% of the time, you'll be wrong. :lol_hitti I have the GearWrench ratcheting wrenches that require you to flip them over to...
