Hey guys, I want to upgrade my safety wire pliers from the cheap Harbor freight ones I currently have. I am looking for a reversible pair, 6" is preferred, I would go up to 9" I want to spend less than $100. Anyone have any good recommendations?

I have to cut lots of foam while in the shop. The old ways of an electric knife just wasn't doing a good enough job. So I rigged together a hot wire. It works fairly well. It was actually fairly easy to make. What do you think?

I have a Dewalt 12v Impact driver that is completely useless because both batteries are toast. Do I replace the battery $64.00 or just sell it and buy a bare 18v Impact for $109. I have 4 18v batteries, so it would almost seem to be worth going to all 18v tools.
