I have sided my walls almost to the top and I need to put the top piece of siding in the upper J channel. I know they make a punch to hol your last piece in the J channel as long as your cut is on the low side of the siding. Is there any other way of doing it? Maybe silicone the last one or...

I've added on to my shop and I'm getting rady to do the siding and was wandering if anyone has ran the siding on their gable parllel with the rake. My new addition is 2' taller than my old shop. It would sure be easier than cutting several pieces and going horizontal. Thanks for any input.
