My first plasma cutter: Hobart AirForce 40i or HF Titanium 65 amp?

I can get the Hobart for $1855 or the Titanium from HF for $1000. Have some 1/2" to 5/8" metal I need to cut holes in and I'm sure will find other uses over the years. Won't be using professionally. Hobart is rated at 5/8" max cut 7/8". Titanium is rated up to 1 3/16". I don't trust HF tools...

About to pull the trigger on polyaspartic coating for new build.

Full build is here for anyone curious about it: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/36x48-garage-build-aka-i-love-debt-is-underway.551889/ Garage is 36X48 with a 1ft stem wall, but technically measures more like 34X46 inside. I did an epoxy floor myself in the attached garage 10 years...

What type of drywall should I use? 5/8, 1/2? Moisture resistant?

Ceilings are 24" oc. I'll be having blown in insulation (R38) in the attic after the drywall is hung. It's detached and there are no permits/inspections... So, I can use whatever I'd like. Just want to make sure it won't sag on the ceiling and I don't want to worry about mold. It'll be...

36X48 Garage Build - AKA "I Love Debt" is Underway!

Ground was broke today. Excited and nervous. Most folks in the construction world start work at sunrise. I work often at night, so probably won't be sleeping much while this is going on. Day one, they did the digging and got the footing poured. All concrete work should be done early next week...

My garage over the last 9 years.

First few photos give you an idea of what it looked like when we moved in. This is after I cleaned all the junk out of it. A year later, I sheetrocked it, painted, and expoxied the floor. Unfortunately, the epoxy did yellow quite a bit near the doors. Last month I ordered the Gladiator cabinets...

Building a 30X42 3 car garage. Does this quote look fair? Anything you would change?

Pretty normal build I guess? One bay will have parallel cord trusses so I can have enough ceiling height for a lift. Could use them for the whole building, but it increases the cost quite a bit. Electrical could be a little less...Just a conservative guesstimate until I talk to their...
