Plans to make flip top bench

Someone asked a few weeks ago about how to mount power tools but not lose any bench top space. I said maybe he could figure out a way to make the table top flip over. Found this today and love it. You could leave one side empty for a nice bench top or mount different tools on each side...

Huge SO box for much less than normal in Syracuse

I am not a Snap On fanboy but I understand that they do carry a premium price. I hardly ever see a decent sized box for less than $2500 but today I see this roller with 2 side cabinets and 2 top boxes for $2200. Could be a steal for someone who is in the market. I will be working in Syracuse...

    Stark lathe, seems really cheap

I have no real need for a metal lathe and yet I find myself tempted to go check this one out. Not sure if $450 is a good deal assuming it is in good shape (bed ways and so on). Maybe someone close to Rochester will go grab it first and put an end to my temptation...

Large home made machinist box with unique stand

I got this box and stand about 6 months ago from a estate company in Syracuse. They have a store where all the unsold estate stuff goes. Saw it listed on CL and it said "Box, stand and all tools $150". When I got there it has a sticker on it that was $300. I asked about it and didn't mention the...

Craftsman 150 drill press manual and instructions for download

I copied the owners manual and operating instructions for a Craftsman 150 DP model 103.24521 and 103.24531 catalog number 9-2921. My copy is from 1954. The owners manual is 32 pages, 200 pictures and the file is 60MB. The operating instructions are only 6 pages so the file is much smaller. Here...

Best way to post large files such as owners manuals

I scanned the original owners manual and operating instructions from the 1954 Craftsman 150 DP I picked up last week. I have emailed it to a few people who asked but I would like to post on here as well so everyone who needs it can print it out. The owners manual file is too large to post...

Finally found a Craftsman 150 DP

Been looking for a nice vintage drill press for a while, the 150 specifically. Finally found one about 10 days ago on CL but the seller never replied to me. I sent him probably 5 messages and figured he had already sold it. Out of the blue last night I get a call the the dp is still for sale...

    Nice little score today

$10 got me all of these. The long wrenches are 15in Williams Superwrench A100,A100B, A100C and A100D. Some brake wrenches which I really needed. Then some random wrenches that will be useful, well maybe not the weird "universal" wrenches. Pretty happy to pay $10 plus it was only about 15 minutes...

    Cheap Husky screwdrivers at Ollies

My local Ollies bargain outlet had 3/8 x 8in flat and #2 8in philips Husky screwdrivers for $2.99 each. Pretty damn cheap for rubber grip, American made and lifetime warranty. Back says they were originally sold at Home Depot.

Never seen a toolbox like this

Kind of a neat box but not sure what the purpose is. Doesn't seem like it saves space. Was it just a concept that never caught on? Has anyone seen one, know who made them or know what they are worth?

Found a nice cabinet for my bench grinder/polisher

Got this Sioux grinder a few years ago but never had a good place to use and keep it. It was always just on my bench and when I needed it I had to drag it out. Sucker is pretty heavy. Today I found a great metal cabinet with stainless top. The guy selling it on CL had it listed as a "modern...

Where to buy 1/4" door tracks?

Looking to buy some plastic 1/4" door track to make some doors for my garage overhead storage. Lowes and Home Depot both had no clue, even when I showed them pictures of what I was looking for. Woodcraft carries them in wood but $20 for a 4ft section (top and bottom included). I see them online...
