Question about measuring when bending steel.

Thus is probably a stupid question but it’s my first go at making anything besides my work bench. If I start with a sheet of 20 ga steel and do two 90° bends how much will I lose in length overall? Essential I need a sheet that ends up being 15” on one end, 26.5” down the middle and 15” on the...

Please tell me this is an April Fools joke!! (Craigslist Ad)

That "two motor" setup HAS to be the reason it's priced $900 over retail, right? http://dayton.craigslist.org/tls/4931454668.html

    Blue-Point AT119 variable speed?

Does anyone know if this is a variable speed unit? I know the AT116 is and best I can tell the difference between them is a threaded end vs a collet. Thanks!

Anyone know anything about these pliers?

I was poking around on the Lowe's site and came across this 12 piece mini-plier set (model 55744). I know some of the Kobalt stuff is pretty good. Anyone know the COO of these or own the set? I'll stop in tomorrow to check but I thought I would ask here first and save myself a trip if they ****...

US General side cabinet on the 56" box?

I'm toolbox shopping as I've outgrown my current 26" Craftsman stack. I really want the 56" combo from HF but I also really want a side cabinet. Unfortunately I can't find solid info on whether or not it actually fits. Does it fit? Thanks!

Does anyone know of a QUALITY propane tank gauge?

As the title says I need recommendations on a good tank gauge. We tend to grill a good bit and like always we ran out of gas today while cooking. I've looked around but most reviews say they stop working quickly or are terribly inaccurate. Any good suggestions? Thanks!

    Old and learning...I hope!

Hey everyone! My name is Joe. I've been registered here for some time (7/10) but on recently began posting. I'm what I would call a "renewed newbie" to all things tools and such. Growing up my grandfather (I was raised by my maternal grandparents) was your typical wrench. He raced for years in...

    Adding lines from existing panel..overload?

Hey guys, I don't have so much as a clue when it comes to electrical service so I'm hoping I explain this properly. My house has 100A service. The panel has 10 empty slots. I have a dishwasher, W/D, stove, refrigerator and central air (furnace and water heater are gas). My garage is attached...

    Any info on this compressor?

Hey guys. This is on my local CL site and I thought about snatching it up but I can't seem to find any info. Best I can tell it says "Buckett" but searches come up empty. I found the motors for around $330 but that's all. Anyone recognize the brand?
