They look better than the kobalt pliers I bought. Probably hard to find a larger set cheaper than that besides harbor freight though.

I'm not a fan of the grips on the older kobalt pliers like the ones here ImageUploadedByTapatalk1406174258.356126.jpg

But the ones pictured look way better

12 pliers for 29 bucks. Of course it's gonna be china.

Patriotism aside that doesn't make them bad. They will likely lack fit and finish.

Want American go channelock or Klein. German go Knipex. You'll probably get one or two pairs for $29.

I bought pliers that looked just like those but with red handles at menards I believe it was..

4 pair for like 5.99 I think it was... looked very handy..

but I bent the needle nose ones handles closer together on like my 2nd use..

they were very weak, would deform easily as if they were of a softer metal...

I bought that set about a year ago for closer to $15. Needed to take some sutures out of my dog and I couldn't find my suture removal kit anywhere...and I was buying some 2x4s lol.

They are pretty terrible. The jaws have no serrations, so they can't grip anything very well. They did work well for removing sutures, however.

I have a similar HF set of I think 6, as said they are light duty, but they do what mini pliers are supposed to do. Kobalt branded they should have lifetime warranty, but I already a good selection of premium small pliers.

*** Still could kick myself in the head for not buying every pair of pliers I found in a swap meet box. Guy wanted like a buck each, and wouldn't take my "slightly less offer for all of them each" so I bought five or ten, got them home and found they were all premium brands like Lindstrom.
