Does anyone know when the Frankenstein ratchets were made? They have the SK inside the diamond. Anyone have them listed in a catalog you could share a pic of?

Today I traded for a small batch of S-K tools. In the box was a black 3/8 drive ratchet, model 45170 with a Pat. # of 1981526. I was amazed that someone could peel ALL the chrome off without leaving a trace, but then thought it was maybe an industrial finish.

Does anyone have any idea when SK used the blue metal box for tool sets? All I knew of were the green ones.

Last evening I was sorting and cleaning some tools I have recently purchased and found that one of the 3/8" drive retchets is magnetized. It will pick up a 10 or 11mm standard length socket. The retaining ball in the drive head is good, so they weren't trying to keep the sockets on.
