    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

Working on a simple RO system to support a clients process and I needed to panel mount 3x rotameters. Super simple and I don't have to go back and label them.

Yup, that. Helps that I'm a stones throw from two regional airports at work or at home. @gpiggaz nailed it below. Don't buy a screen with the pin soldered in, they don't fit the enlcosure. this one works well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLTDK9XX?tag=atomicindus08-20 These boards worked...

    Building a buggy: nobggrnchvy

I think if I had initially done the weld in 309 I would leave it alone, but now with it in 308 it's already got 80% the nickel of 309. If I add some ni99 or even some 55, the wall on the 304 tube will probably fail before anything else.

Thanks. We will have to see. I might grab some more ni99 and wash the weld with more nickle to add some more ductiity and resistance to differential thermal expansion.

I saw this project in the Makerworld app and my wife is always using FlightAware to see where planes are going so I thought it would make a nice add for her desk. Solder a little arduino to a screen. Print the shell and install. Upload the software, connect it to the wifi and put in the...

I tried that once! It didn't end well :ROFLMAO: Weekend was full activities that weren't buggy related, but I started tackling the driveline interference issue. I started by unbolting and then cutting the flanges off the current exhaust and mocking it up. Then I tapped in the concentric...

The modeling side has been all/part of the day job for 20 years, so I hope I have a good handle on that :ROFLMAO:

Due to a series of limitations, I needed to make this air filter fit the oil catch can in a weird spot. A little time modeling a profile in SW gave me a good PLA test peice I reprinted in ASA with a couple of extra features to let me clamp it on.

Bambu P1S, thanks. Engine bay room is at a premium, but I still needed to mount the engine oil catch can. The only reasonable spot I had of course needs a custom mount, so I trimmed one out of some 2x1 box tubing I welded a return to and drill a bunch of holes in. Now with it bolted in the...

The engine relay/fuse block got mounted. put some rivnuts intot he backside so it's easily installed/removed. Then I put the front axle back in so I could remeasure driveshafts. A little math and I ended up with a cut length leaving me 1/2" of compression at full bump on the shortest...

I wanted to force air through the oil cooler so I modeled and printed some scoops. The center support interference fit is wrong and it cracked in the weakest point. I'm remodeling and printing a new one shortly.

Lot of small tasks, nothing major. Engine wiring harness is in, only thing that needs to modded is the throttle body connector which I assumed since it's on the wrong side now. Made a mount for the harness relay/fuse block even if half of the ciruits are dead/unecesary. I may unloom and depin...

You don't need the grid underneath. It just nests them nicely. I did it because Iw asn't sure how I wanted to lay out the bins 100% and since they don't occupy 100% of the space, I didn't want them to seperate and get messy evertyime I opened the drawer. I also included pockets under each bin...

Busy working on other projects this weekend, but I did get the final hood pins and supports in. Hood fits snug. Plenty of height over the cooler. I need to work on making a bottom and top duct to drive airflow.

I had a problem. I was certain they should go in here. I had a tool. Gridfinity to the rescue. Days of printing later. Problem solved.

I tried my hand at fiberglass and body filler to fix the holes in the grill to clear the tubes. I cleaned up the backside, laid 2 layers of glass/resin, then did 2 layers of body filler on the front to smooth it out in between a bunch of sanding. Also filled some other imperfections while I was...

    Some of Bodj Built's builds

Is there anything available for your rear like the late model AAM axles with the single thick spindle nut and 6 keyways matching the spindle that accepts a square key and hold the thrust with a snap ring? Simple and works well.

No, not really something I'm concerned about. Most of it is loomed inside the body panels or on top. Its not perfect, but Im also not out east and dunking it to the top of tires in mud holes.

Punchlist is getting hammered. Harness is loomed front and back in a combination of techflex/heat shrink/Tesa tape. It's not perfect, but clean enough for me. Fuel cell breather is finished. I was going to use a sintered breather, but the restriction ontop of the 90s was too much. I parted...

Hammers is about 6th on the list once it's done. It's a lot of fun out there, but for a 10+hr haul I'd rather push out to Moab. A good friend lives out in Hurricane so Sand Hollow is on the list, but I really just want to get back out on the Rubicon.
