    Racedeck and Motorcycles

I have the RD solid tiles and my Harley's kickstand will scratch the floor. Just use something under the kickstand and you'll be ok.

    RaceDeck Install: Any padding under?`

Use landscape cloth. If you do have seepage between the tiles at least landscape material is made to get wet. I used two layers of cloth and it reduced the hollow sound. I wouldn't use roofing felt for the reasons stated above.

    Protecting lower garage walls?

A buddy used this to cover the walls in a motorcycle trailer. Looked good and worked great. This is probably your best, least costly option.

    White Garage Floor

If going to the expense of epoxy, pick something user friendly. You'll NEVER keep it from showing dirt, tire tracks, etc. Imagine pulling a wet car into the garage.

    Stall Mats

Just a thought here....a buddy bought a stall mat from Tractor Supply to put in the back of his jeep. The mat had an overwhelming rubber odor that was so bad, he finally took it out. If that smell persists, I can only imagine what a garage floor full of these would smell like.

    Tuff Seal vs Race Deck

I considered Tuffseal, but just couldn't let myself spend that much. I opted for 18" RD and put two layers of landscape cloth down underneath the tiles (just in the foot traffic areas). I have no regrets. As you wade thru flooring choices, you'll find there is no perfect flooring-advantages...

    Why coat my garage/shop floor?

Covering your floor with anything (epoxy, RaceDeck, etc) keeps the dust down. So, if you're picky about what's in your garage...

    Blade for Cutting Racedeck?

I used a table saw with the standard blade that came with the saw and my cuts were great. I'd think a bandsaw would work fine. Try cutting a tile with the bottom of the tile facing up and another with the top facing up. Compare the two to see if one cut looks better than the other.

    How to Mop Epoxy Floors

I don't have epoxy, but RaceDeck. Try a steamer. I wound up with my wife's old one from the house and it works great. Walmart has them for about $60.

    Racedeck buckling

No matter what the temp is outside, if I leave my garage door open and the sun hits the tiles by the door, they buckle. It's not a big deal for me because I keep the door closed. However, I probably could have avoided this by placing the tiles in the sun on a hot day, let them expand, and then...

    Mold under plastic tile

I live in the deep South and have RD in my garage. I wash my cars and motorcycle in the garage and have never had a mold or mildew issue under my tiles.

    Condensate and Racedeck Question

I've got RD tiles, wash my car, bike, etc., in the garage, live in the Deep South, so it's warm and humid all the time, and I've never had a mold or mildew issue.

    How about stable mats???

FYI - A buddy bought one of these, cut in down to fit the rear of his jeep, and had to get rid of it due to the smell. The rubber smell was overpowering.

I don't like the jigsaw look if you use two (or more) colors.

Is small stuff hard to see on dark RaceDeck colors

Will not be hard to find small items on RD (I've had RD for a couple of yrs). Multiple-colored floors, like heavy chip epoxy would make it hard to locate small dropped items.

Hardwood Kitchen Flooring- Under the Cabinets or Not?

When I built my house the builder had the kitchen completely floored (this was tile, not hardwood) and then installed the cabinets. He said this would prevent having to make a lot of cuts and piece around the cabinets. Seems the same would be true for wood, although wood Would be easer to cut...

    Race Deck ordered

I used two layers of fabric underlayment (landscape fabric from Lowes) beneath the areas of the garage with high foot traffic and left the area where I wash my car without fabric. The areas with fabric are quieter than the non-fabric areas. My RD has been down about 18 mos. but I've never...
