The needle nose listed by Witthay might just be the best set of pliers that Klein makes. Especially on smaller wire diameters. I use them too. Here is my suggestion: do not buy cheap electrical tape.

Broken sockets: Mac, SK, Cman, Klein. Mac warrantied without blinking. SK was a shallow 1/2. I put in a spare SO in my 30 year old set. Cman? I am not looking to flame. Klein? Even easier. Personally, I would not go any cheaper than Williams Taiwan. Good luck.

Iirc,.SO is one, if not the only, to load rate it's 1/4 ratchet. Los Caldazar had a Mod that you could consider. On3 interesting option is the Nepros mini-flex 1/4. I own both, but usually reach for the longer SO flex. Or the Zeal. Would lik3 to try the Zyclops. Lots of good choices. Ask...
