    Husky 52" tool box/chest combo - $598

I just bought a 52" with 16 drawers. It was marked from $498 to $448. Then I paid with my Home depot card and got another 5% off!! So I think for $426 it was a great deal. They just set it up also so it didn't take any time out of my schedule to put it together. I also bought a Costco tool box...

    My little getaways.

Sometmes it's an Icebox but I have a 375,000 btu heater that warms it up fast and then we ue just a couple propane small heaters once the temperature stabilizes.30 ft high is alot of air to warm up but it's amazing how those heaters do the job.

    My little getaways.

Thanks! We built it to have fun in. We have neighborhood parties a couple times a year and car club functions a few times a year where at least 60 people get to enjoy it.

    My little getaways.

Yeah right now its sort of stressing me out as I have stuff everywhere and once you run out of room it becomes piles/unorganized. I have been working 7 days a week except Christmas day and I took off New years to o paperwork. I think just organizing would help!!

Man its been a while since I posted and lots more has been done in the shop and the Barn. I cannot believe how empty they looked a year ago. I will be putting up more pictures soon. I don't know how you all keep your places so clean. I finished my Lean To that is 10X42 off the back of the barn...

    "Let's see your Bench Grinders!"

I just picked this one up for $50. It weighs at least 250 lbs as it took 3 of us to lift. The bottom is made out of 1/2" plate. Even the sides are made out of 3/8" pressed plate steel. This is a 10" grinder and definately the most beefy grinder I have seen in a garage. I love the discharge tubes...

drywall vs. OSB vs. plywood for walls

I used 5/8" fire rated GWB. In a garage, a fire usually starts within. A garage sees alot of grinding ,sparks, hot molten metal. If it doesn't see this kind of stuff, you might as well have your wife use it for her doll collection or beanie babies.

    Check out this garage...

Im with you. Everything in this garage is junk or will be junk in a few years so you build a hydraulic door that probably adds $50,000 alone to store $40,000 worth of toys that will be worth $20,000 in a couple years. Now if he had a couple cool Hotrods and or some exotic cars, it would then...

what would you do if you were me?

This may have worked for you before 2008 but I know people, lots of people that bought in 2007 and are now way under water with their mortgage. So many people bought houses thinking about buying and selling before 2008 and look what their house is worth now. A buddy bought his for 336,000. Its...

what would you do if you were me?

If you like moving and not aquiring much then buying and selling can make you money but when your house goes up so does every other house. I like just buying a house you can grow with and just watch the house value increase. If I were to move, it ould probably cost $100,000 just to move all my...

what would you do if you were me?

I have 11 and all in alarmed buildings that notify me silently and If I don't answer the alarm, it switches to a neighbors house. It will call 5 different numbers until the first phone picks up. I like having the silent mode to be able to catch a thief in the action if the day ever comes. I mean...

what would you do if you were me?

If you buy the right house no matter what age you are, you will never move. It's a big decision so take time to find it. As I stated earlier and others agree, buy a house on property. Build the dream garage shop in your leisure. Do not buy toys unless you can cover them and keep them safe. After...

    Laser Levels

I use a Robo vector 5 beam and a Bosch that shoots a horizontal and vertical line. Both self level. My 5 beam has been collecting dust as the full lines are way more versatile for framing and setting doors, shelves etc. The 5 beam I use for setting up frames on my hotrods and thats where the 5...

what would you do if you were me?

Why not buy a house with property and a gargage . At least an Acre and then build a bigger garage when you need it. That keeps the women happy, it gives you a place for your car and lets you build your dream garage. Im living that dream myself right now. Been in the same house for 25 years, paid...
