    not sure about the other brands but you can use all 9.6-14.4 batterys can be interchanged. but the 18v can not be its just to large. but with that being said... its not something you want to do with the impacts. the motor RPM, impact cam path and spring rate are all designed to work together...

    yup... alll the front sections swap out. only thing diffrent off the top of my head is the housing in the battery foot area the motor and "maybe" the switch. should be able to go to a service center and get all the parts you need as for the LED's ill say something to the new engineer working on...

    ive worked on more 4.6 stangs then every one on this forum combined minus kingperformance who might have worked on as many as i have and all you need to do is drop the front of the mid pipe and hit it with an open end 7/8 wrench...

    please explain how you would burn up the motor. its designed to have no reactionay torque. meaning all the load is in the impact mechinism. the motor spins at the same speed no matter what (unless you move the trigger) so basicly if its stuck on a bolt its just gunna free spin and beat on it...

    www.dewalt.com they have the 052-057 line which is a compact driver and wrench depending on the number. then they have the big boy 18v 059. they have a 36v Li right now but i dont know to much about them i didnt work on that project.

    yea... find a pump that can keep up with the demand of a air impact. once you have one of those small impacts youll be amazed what you use it for.

    those dewalt units are very nice units. the impact timing on them is damn near perfect. as for why we didnt do a 3/8 version of the small 18v dw057. i honestly cant remember the answer when i asked my boss when we worked on it.

    if your joking i can understand that... but didnt seem to come across that way. and no im not an engineer. they dont get to do any of the fun stuff... IE hands on design work... get out there and test the stuff. they get to sit in the office go to meetings and all that.
