Looking for a high quality parts cleaner.

I would love to see pics of this. I would like the idea of building/modifying my own. If I was to purchase one to do just that.

Shop build, wall is out of plumb

The only way to get this right is to take down to the studs and reapply the sheathing. After properly getting everything square, level, and plumb. Then sheath it. There was probably some miscommunication as well as understanding. Putting on sheathing is not making sure your building is square...

    Tell me about VIM tools

I saw the video with their "sale". I also found when I did a search I was able to easily find other places that were selling their tools at prices lower than on their website with the discount. Their video of the sale, is bad acting at best, and makes me question their credibility. The quality...

    Tell me about VIM tools

I agree. There prices are high for where they are in the hierarchy of tools. Especially with people having a hard time or a long time to get warranty.

    Anyone else like Channellocks?

I like channel locks. Try twisting something with another brand next to Channellock and you will notice a big difference. For the price and quality Channel lock brings a huge value.

3/8" and 1/2" Drive Sockets, Can I get Away With Impact Only and not Chrome?

You totally can get away impacts for 97% of the time if you choose the right type. In general chrome is harder and stronger, where impacts are softer and thicker to bend not break from shock loading. Astro nanos are impact rated and short. Also Capri has some shorty impacts. The best option in...

Sell Craftsman Pro wrenches for upgrade?

I definitely like my Wright wrenches for price comfort and strength and grip. I would double check the Protocol prices because they are often higher than Snap-on depending int the source. Unless you notice jaws spread on you, I would keep ‘em.

Tier 1 Impact Driver Bits and Sawzall?

I have a variable speed Milwaukee super Sawzall. It has been great, but if I was going to get one today, I would go with the Makita anti-vibe. I have heard good things.

    Inflater

I have several different inflators. Some with a jump box, some that connect to under hood battery, I used to have a couple that plugged into the cigarette lighter that died. Compared running the compressor, the inflator is very convenient. I check my pressure much more often with mine. I have...

    Long pattern wrenches

I strongly suggest following what Fedwrench suggested on the zero offset boxed wrenches. When you need more torque you want the boxed end and at the long length any angle can limit your throw. I like boxed on one end and ratchet on the other, so break it free and flip and crank it off fast...

Wright Tools, The Good, The Bad

Wright wrenches are definitely better to pull on than Snap-On. I have used a flank drive plus open on end on a rust exhaust bolt that I could get off with a flank drive socket, then turbo socket, then hammer on down a size turbo socket, then I tried the FD+ and that got it off. The Wright...
