The bank issues a draw and requires my signature to release it to the general. So, what I think youre saying is the bank obtains the lien releases?

My bank conducts regular inspections to insure the value of the loan does not exceed the value of the new construction, I'm guessing that involves a performance bond. But I'm guessing that doesnt guarantee the subs are getting paid.

How do I insure my general contractor is paying the sub-contractors? If I understand correctly, if a sub fails to get paid, they can place a lien on my new construction. Please help me understand what that means and steps I can take to protect myself.

28' opening 36 eave to eave

I said 'opening' because there is no door, more like a 3 sided carport. The beam will be supporting half of a 32' steel/truss purlin 4/12 pitch roof.

In a new house design, I have a garage opening of 28'. My builder (not an engineer) seems to think we'll need an I beam 18" high to hold the roof load. Anybody here span that kind of distance? What did you use?

Can you change a wall to reduce the square footage to meet code? My barn has lean-to's on 3 sides, and it doesnt count as square footage.

I really don't know what I'm going to do until I find and price the parts, If the parts are $200 plus, I 'll be looking for a different 2 stage.

I think you've nailed it. Looks like the CAW1. Alot of the images in your attached document look similiar to my pump. According to the Mccenzie site, the CAW1 has (2) 2.75 dia pistons and (1) 1.75dia. There got to be a stock piston out there that will fit this thing...

I asked about 2 filters because the two large cylinders are connected on the 'out' side and feed the smaller (2 stage?) cylinder. Of the two larger filters, only one has a place for a filter.
