If you have a local "vape" shop they should have nichrome or Kanthal resistance wire in different gauges. You might be able to find it at a local heating and a/c place also. If you can wait there is tons on fleabay for dirt cheap. Good luck in the search.

At work I used the 4 Piece Anti-Fatigue Foam Mat Set from harbor freight. It works good and easy to cut with a exacto knife. One side is smooth and the other is like a knurled texture. And it's a lot cheaper than the specialty foam made for tool boxes.:beer:

I think you need the machine shop take another .0005 off the crank, that would put you at the min on all but the one that was @.0015 that one would be .0020 and still in spec. Unless someone has a better idea, it's been forever that I have built an engine but I think that is the correct thing...

Thanks for the link. My local jiffy lube will take anti-freeze neer me. I usually had to wait about a month to dispose of it at the local Waste Managemant hazmat site.

If you talk to your local auto paint store they might be able to mix paint and put it in rattle cans for you, I know they do it here. It will take alot of cans and probably would be cheaper to just take it to a body shop when it's prepped and have them spray it for you.

What about old ammo cans? Would probably be close to the 5 gal buckets but worth a shot. You might want to try looking at tackle boxes? You might find something that would work for you and be somewhat water froof. Or have a custom cover made from water proof material.

HERE is one that won't break the bank. Probably will be able to see through it better than the OP's but keep the bugs out.
