    Review my layout and details...

The one thing that I would suggest is consideration of placement of windows. Where you have windows (and doors), you lose wall space for cabinets or lumber storage. Make sure you know what equipment and shelving you will want to have and where you want to place it. Also, if you plan on doing...

The best drawer build video I’ve seen so far.

A good reason to keep my portable table saw when I buy a nicer table saw.

Build shop at same time as house?

A bird in the hand.... Do the shop when building the house (including all planned utilities) if you can afford to do so. Finish off inside later.

    liftmaster range

Do you have wi-fi in the garage? If so, look into the LiftMaster MyQ control panels and app. I rarely use my opener now that I can open from my phone.

    Color of Interior Paint

To me, white paint gives a "sterile environment" perception. Not bad if you are going to keep the workshop spotless, but that sort of defeats the purpose, at least to me. I always use eggshell for wall paint as it is generally easy to wipe off smudges.

    Color of Interior Paint

I did mine in a blue/grey. A light enough color that the inside does not appear dark. Interior window trim in a darker blue. Blue cabinets. I would not go white, but would suggest a light color of whatever theme color you want in the workshop.

My new workshop. What would you do first?

I fully agree. Otherwise you need to move everything out in order to do the floor properly.

4 car insulated garage - heater recommendations

Seems like a very good price. I just had a quote for $3,700 for a Lennox LF24-75A. Salesman said that the 75K unit was less than $100 more than the 60K unit. Not certain why my quote is so much higher.

    automobile turntable

Jay Leno had one installed in his home garage. His show had a feature on his home garage a couple of years ago that showed the installation. Pretty nice thing to have if you have limited space to turn around.

    Got heat!

Can you comment on the cost of the install? Did they also run the gas pipe up the wall for you? Just trying to get a reference point to compare to the quotes I have received ($3,000 for unit, install and gas line; I have gas terminated at the outside of my building. Just need to bring through...

    Cost estimates for 25x40 shop

What is the inside finish, if any? How much lighting / electrical? My 30x40 ended up at about $90 per SF. However, that includes metal roof, 2 cupolas. covered porch, 7 windows (3 fixed and 4 double hung), drywall and insulation, knotty pine T&G ceiling, epoxy on the floor and a few other...

    The RV Garage

Thanks. I think that even if you had a clear sealant there would be some darkening over time. I should be OK with an unfinished ceiling.

    The RV Garage

Are your pine walls finished or unfinished? I am wanting to put a T&G pine ceiling in my barn, but the cost of pre-finished is pretty high (alternatively the time to finish 1800 SF of wood would be high as well). If unfinished, has the pine darkened much since you installed it?

    Pine Ceiling

I have installed T&G flooring. I think that the concept is the same other than I am nailing overhead instead of moving around on my knees. I do like the idea of a cordless nail gun. Doing things myself and saving the labor costs allows me to justify buying tools that I otherwise might not buy.
