Here's the back story: Painted the garage floor with Home Depot Rustoleum epoxy about 4 years ago. Looked pretty good for about 6 months, the began to flake up in spots. Called Rustoleum to grumble, and they sent me a replacement kit. Never got around to re-doing the floor, though. Divorce...

Personally, I'd consider "outsourcing" rather than "insourcing." Find a way to market your experience in garage design/builds, or find a (BMW) specialty and sell your knowledge. Easier, cleaner and much bigger demographic that trying to bring friends/neighbors/clients into your garage. But hey...

Where are you located? Went to my local HD today (Texas) and their price was $.68/ft. They had no record of this tile going down to $.54/ft., but said they would match the price if they had written proof of the $.54 price. Thanks, Michael

I'm about to embark on the same touch-up project. Other than using a wire brush to scrape up/clean the areas to be re-epoxied, what would you use to clean the floor? I believe the kit comes with a floor cleaning agent...is it necessary to use this, or would a good cleaning with soap or Simple...

I put down the non-commercial Rustoleum floor coating a couple of years ago, and of course there are quite a few spots where it lifted and wore away. Rustoleum sent me two new cans of the stuff to fix the bad spots, and I'm just now getting around to putting them down. Of course I'm not...
