Payment sent. Thanks a bunch! Hopefully they are engraved - for some reason I don't like the lasered sockets. Either way, it's a great deal. -Dan

Is My Truck a Tool? (Pic heavy)

Yeah, it's risky business pulling with a strap/chain combo. Youtube has more than a few examples of this. I have pulled a tree down with my old beater Ford Focus... Big strap hooked to the hitch (yes, I towed trailers with the car, too). That car was a total tool! -Dan

    Long-Time Lurker from Tulsa, OK

Thanks again, all! It's great to see some local folks around. I'm originally from Chicago, and went to school at Kansas State University, but I've enjoyed my 3 years in Tulsa. socketjockey: Glad to see another young engineer. There are quite a few engineering opportunities in Tulsa - much...

    Official Fridge Transformation Thread

I dig the Porsche fridge. I'm assuming that started life as a wine refrigerator? I have heard that those generally don't keep things very cold, have you found this to be true? After spending time in Switzerland, I was amazed at the popularity of Coca-Cola Zero (called Coke Zero here in the...

    Long-Time Lurker from Tulsa, OK

Thanks for the welcome! Someday, I hope to be able to purchase some of your quality tools. I am a mechanical engineer who works with Swiss equipment much of the day in my current career. I appreciate efficient, simple, and sound design, so naturally "The Hammer" gets me pretty geeked up and...

    Long-Time Lurker from Tulsa, OK

I've been lurking around this forum for nearly 3 years, and have finally started to post up. I bought my first house back in 2007, but didn't have the money to begin fixing up my garage. Now that I'm the ripe, old age of 27, I have a (small) amount of money to put into my tools, etc from time...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Nothing impressive, but most of it was purchased while I was in high school working at a shop. I have tried to purchase mostly name-brand U.S. made stuff, but some HF tools have snuck into the box over time. Boxes in a cheap bench, with a $60 laminate countertop from Lowes. I do relatively...

    Got a new toolbox.....

The Kobalt is a 53" box, but the Craftsman box shown above is a 40" box. Even with a fridge, the 53" box seems like it would have a lot more space. -Dan
