I've been lurking around this forum for nearly 3 years, and have finally started to post up. I bought my first house back in 2007, but didn't have the money to begin fixing up my garage. Now that I'm the ripe, old age of 27, I have a (small) amount of money to put into my tools, etc from time to time. Unfortunately, I've become addicted to the tool section of this forum... Now I stare at the ceiling at night thinking of Wera, Facom, and that Paulding precision hammer! You guys are going to ruin my marriage...

Anyways, thanks for the 3 years of wisdom and awesome garage inspiration! Here's my compressor/bench setup for now. Looking forward to eventually having a few beers with friends in my great garage.

I'd be happy to help with that. "The Hammer" that is, not ending your marriage.

I'd be happy to help with that.

Thanks for the welcome!

Someday, I hope to be able to purchase some of your quality tools. I am a mechanical engineer who works with Swiss equipment much of the day in my current career. I appreciate efficient, simple, and sound design, so naturally "The Hammer" gets me pretty geeked up and triggers my asthma.

Welcome to the Garage Journal (officially, now I guess). I am a Senior ME student at Northern Arizona University(Dec.'10). I'm not familiar with all the firms in Tulsa. I think I may have talked with someone at Webco at one time. Sweet I-R compressor.

Welcome,

I agree that the signal to noise ratio here is good.

I am just South of Tulsa myself.

Thanks again, all! It's great to see some local folks around. I'm originally from Chicago, and went to school at Kansas State University, but I've enjoyed my 3 years in Tulsa.

socketjockey: Glad to see another young engineer. There are quite a few engineering opportunities in Tulsa - much of it oil and natural gas related. I deal with big diesel and natural gas fueled engines, myself.

: Where are you located in Kansas? I've traveled quite a bit of the state, and have lived in Manhattan and Overland Park. I've spent quite a bit of time in Chanute visiting family. I miss Kansas, actually.
